March 4, 2008 -- Fiber-optic product manufacturing company Timbercon recently announced the appointment of Dr. Justin Redd as its director of engineering. Redd's responsibilities with the company will include new product design, product analysis, and research.
Redd brings 20 years of experience in electrical engineering and optical research to Timbercon. "Justin's deep knowledge of optoelectronics will enable Timbercon to continue to be at the forefront of innovation," comments James Davies, chief operating officer for Timbercon. "Justin is a key addition to Timbercon, and we expect him to lead our company towards the next generation of photonic design."
Prior to Timbercon, Redd served as a director of business management at Maxim Integrated Products' OptoCon division. Previous to his work with Maxim, he served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force, before earning his Ph.D. in electrical engineering at Utah State University.
Redd is a published author in the fields of optoelectronics and connectivity.
