New company serving security, transportation, industrial markets

June 6, 2008 -- George Lichtblau, founder of the former International Fiber Systems (IFS), has launched ComNet (Web site still under construction as of June 6, 2008). The new company, which began operation June 1, provides connectivity products for video, data, and audio applications as well as an Ethernet product portfolio intended for use in CCTV, access control, traffic signalization, and incident detection.

ComNet is located in Danbury, CT where its engineering, manufacturing, production, customer-care, marketing, and other functions also reside.

"One of the key reasons for the success of IFS was our decision to be a true resource for the customers who chose to partner with us" stated Lichtblau. "That was a successful philosophy and one that we plan to improve on at ComNet." He emphasized that pre- and post-sale technical support, design-center services, and customer care are among the most significant benefits ComNet offers its customers.
