July 25, 2008 -- On its Web site, Black Box Corporation has released a new video, titled "How to Pick a Cabinet." Part of the company's ongoing "Tips for Techs" series, the step-by-step educational video is designed to help IT professionals choose the most appropriate cabinets for their specific needs.
According to the company, the video covers what to look for in a cabinet based on customers' cooling, power, security, and equipment access needs. Viewers will also learn about NEMA-rated enclosures for varying degrees of equipment protection in indoor and outdoor environments. In addition, the video covers the difference between types of mounting rails, as well as what customers need for extra-deep equipment mounting and effective cable management.
"When choosing a cabinet, there are many different factors to consider," says Josh Whitney, Black Box Product Manager for Cabinets & Racks. "This new how-to video aids anyone beginning the selection process. After viewing it, customers can then browse our Web site or call our free Tech Support hotline for specific models and part numbers."
Other video tutorials on blackbox.com cover different technologies including CAT 5e and CAT 6 channel solutions, digital signage, audio/visual cabling systems, KVM-over-IP solutions, and TEMPEST-approved KVM secure switching technologies. New videos are produced and streamed regularly on the company's Web site. The videos are the latest addition to the company's free, on-line technical library.
