July 31, 2008 -- IndigoVision, a supplier of integrated IP video security platforms, has opened a new regional sales and support center for the Middle East in the Dubai Internet City, a free economic zone for information technology companies in the United Arab Emirates. The opening ceremony was attended by local businesses and members of the press and was followed by a conference for IndigoVision's local approved partners.
Through its local partner network, IndigoVision has already been successful in the region with high-profile projects such as the 1200+ camera integrated IP video and access control system at Doha International Airport and the 5-star Mövenpick Tower & Suites hotel.
Commenting on IndigoVision's plans for the Middle East, Oliver Vellacott, IndigoVision's CEO said, "Providing a local sales and support operation for our partners and their customers in the Middle East is key to our continued expansion in the region. The combination of our excellent local system integrators and IndigoVision's enterprise IP video solution will ensure we are best placed to benefit from the large infrastructure projects that are typical of the Middle East."
IndigoVision announces support for IP video open standard
Separately, the company announced that it will support the network video standard being developed by Sony, Bosch and Axis, once it is ratified.
Commenting on the announcement, Vellacott said, "We are pleased to announce that IndigoVision's class-leading security management software, 'Control Center,' will support cameras compliant with the forthcoming standard. Control Center is deployed worldwide, currently supporting over 100,000 cameras and 10,000 operator workstations. The IndigoVision offering includes integrations with the world's leading access control and alarm products to provide powerful security solutions."
